The Faculty of Engineering in association with the Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computer, Telecommunication and Information Technology Association: ECTI Association hosted the 8th ECTI-CON 2011 between May 17th and 19th at Pullman Hotel Khon Kaen Raja Orchid. The conference, which included both Thai and foreign engineers, welcomed 400 participants from 11 different countries from all around the world. Two-hundred and sixty-three papers were presented. The conference was sponsored by IEEE, the largest professional association for electrical and electronic engineers.

The conference covered six areas of electrical and electronic engineering including circuit and systems, information technology and computer, telecommunication systems, control system, electrical power system, and digital system processing.
