With a policy to transfer bodies of knowledge to the community for optimal social benefits, the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University made an appointment to meet two big sub-districts in Muang District, i.e., Sila and Ban Ped. The meeting was on ways to develop the community in various aspects such as the environment, garbage disposal, flooding, other physical problems and traffic system. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchaphon Santivarakorn, the Associate Dean for Planning and Information Technology led another 7 team members to discuss the said topics with the president of the Sila’s Tambon Administration Organization on May 16, 2012 and the president of Ban Ped Sub-district Municipality on May 17, 2012. The occasion marked the beginning of the fiscal year 2012 when the Faculty of Engineering will cooperate with community leaders in applying bodies of knowledge to effectively improve and develop the community.
