Curriculum

 At present, the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University offers 40 degree programs including 11 bachelor’s degree programs, 6 special bachelor’s degree programs, 15 master’s degree programs, and 8 doctoral degree programs. There are also other 7 programs that are in the preparation process.  

* The 2+2 program with University of Regina, Canada. This program is provided in partnership between the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, and University of Regina, Canada. Qualified students in the program will enroll their 1st year and 2nd year at Khon Kaen University, and will continue their 3rd year and 4th year at University of Regina. Students in the program will receive their degrees from both universities.

Academic Management
Educational Systems
Khon Kaen University uses a semester system. In one academic year, there are 2 semesters and a summer term. There are 15 weeks in a semester, and 6 weeks in the summer term.
First semester starts in the beginning of June and ends by the end of September
Second semester starts in the beginning of November and ends by the end of February
Summer term is from April to May

Admission Procedures
Undergraduate Program
 Direct admission and application through the Office of Higher Education Commision. There are   
    5 degree programs including:
1. General Engineering: students will select their majors at the beginning of the 2nd
    academic year. Majors include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
    Industrial     Engineering, and Chemical Engineering
2. Agricultural Engineering
3. Computer Engineering
4. Environmental Engineering
5. Civil Engineering
Special admissions including:
1. Admission of students with excellence in athletic ability
2. Admission of students with excellence in science and technology
3. Admission of students with excellence in behavior, ethics and responsibility to the society
4. Admission of students through the academic partnership program with the Department of
    Vocational Education
5. Admission of disabled students
6. Admission of students through Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom
    Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra’s foundation for Academic Olympiad and Science
    Development

Graduate Program (Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree)
The Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, in partnership with the Graduate School, Khon Kaen University, offers graduate courses for master’s degree programs and doctoral degree programs. Applicants can apply in person at the graduate school, 3rd Floor Academic Center Building, Khon Kaen University, or through the website http://gs.kku.ac.th. To gain admission, students will have to pass the examination administered by the Faculty of Engineering.
