Students from Industrial Engineering won the first prize of R2M project in the region level

On 26th October 2014, students from the Department of Industrial Engineering has won the first prize of the project “Research to Market- R2M” which was held in 2nd year in 2014 to search for the best business idea to compete in the national level.

For the competition result, the team from the Faculty of Engineering of Khon Kaen University has passed the round and was the representative of the region to compete in the national round at Chiang Mai province. This winner team was 888 (Triple Eight).

The team members, students from the Department of Industrial Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering from Khon Kaen University, were Mr. Wutthipong Ariyapattanaporn; Miss Thanomkwan Setart; and Miss Sivaporn Phunguenlian. Their project was “Infrared Radiation Machine in Eliminating Rice Weevils in Milled Rice, KKU”. The machine was a research of Asst. Prof. Dr. Sukangkhana Thaleangkan, the Faculty of Engineering.

Miss Thanomkwan Setart, a representative from the 888 team, said “I’m glad and very excited to win the first prize today. From now on the 888 team has to prepare for the next competition in the national level. I’d like all KKU staffs and students to support and cheer our team. And I’d like to thank the staffs from Science Park of KKU for providing assistance and advice until we won this prize.”
