
On February 17, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, led by Assoc. Prof. Ratchaphon Suntivarakorn, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, together with Professor Dr. Wanida Kanarkard, Vice Dean for Research, Innovation, and International Affairs, and faculty members including Associate Professor Dr. Thana Radpukdee, Chair of the Program for Automation Robotics & Intelligent System Engineering, Associate Professor Dr. Pramin Artrit, Assistant Professor Dr. Sora-at Tanusilp, Assistant Professor Dr. Amornthep Sonsilphong, Assistant Professor Dr. Wasakorn Treedet, Assistant Professor Dr. Panawit Hanpinitsak, Assistant Professor Dr. Norrawit Tonmitr, Dr. Teerapon Upachaban and, Dr. Nattapong Ruenrurdeepan, welcomed Professor Ken’ichi Yano, Head of the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory from Mie University, Japan, along with Mr. Woramet Thogntan, a doctoral student, on the occasion of their visit to discuss academic collaboration in research and student exchange.
During the visit, both parties exchanged ideas and explored the potential for future collaboration, including joint research initiatives in robotics and artificial intelligence, particularly in the development of medical robotics. They also discussed promoting opportunities for student and researcher exchanges to strengthen sustainable international academic cooperation.
This discussion marks another significant step in expanding international partnership networks and enhancing the research and innovation capacity of the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University.
