The ranking of world universities is regularly conducted every year by the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR). In 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Khon Kaen University has been ranked by the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2024 as the 3rd place institution in the country and the 1st within the region. In 2024, the Faculty of Engineering has been ranked as follows:
- Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering: Ranked 1st place in the country and 825th place globally.
- Civil and Structural Engineering: Ranked 2nd place in the country and 333rd place globally.
- Biomedical Engineering: Ranked 3rd place in the country and 1368th place globally.
- Building and Construction Engineering: Ranked 4th place in the country and 552nd place globally.
- Mechanical Engineering: Ranked 5th place in the country and 1691st place globally.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchaphon Suntivarakorn, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, expressed pride in the achievements of the faculty in this ranking. He attributed the success to the efforts of faculty members, researchers, students, staff, and alumni who contributed to creating valuable and innovative works beneficial to society. Furthermore, these rankings affirm the success of the Faculty of Engineering’s vision, which focuses on producing quality graduates and fostering innovation to support societal development and change.
Additionally, the faculty has been actively developing and innovating to efficiently link with industry and society to foster sustainable economic growth and development for Thailand. The Faculty of Engineering will continue its efforts in advancing teaching, research, and creating valuable innovations for society and the country in the future.
