IAESTE International Students Begin Internship at KKU Faculty of Engineering

July 9, 2024, Mr. Mo’ath Emad Mohammad Said, a third-year undergraduate student from Al Hussein Technical University, Jordan, and Mr. Emirhan Mahmut Ölçer, a third-year undergraduate student from Yıldız Technical University , Turkey, were warmly welcomed by the Faculty of Engineering at Khon Kaen University (KKU). They met with the administration team of the faculty to introduce themselves as they begin their internship.

 

Prof. Wanida Kanarkard, Vice Dean for Research, Innovation, and International Affairs and Assoc. Prof. Panitas Sureeyatanapas, Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies and International Relations, Faculty of Engineering, hosted the welcome meeting. The internship program, which runs from July 1 to August 30, 2024, involves Mr. Mo’ath Emad Mohammad Said working in the Department of Computer Engineering under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Panawit Hanpinitsak, while Mr. Emirhan Mahmut Ölçer will intern in the Department of Chemical Engineering with Asst. Prof. Kaewta Jetsrisuparb serving as his advisor.

 

Both students are participating in the IAESTE (The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience Association-sans-but-lucratif) program, which facilitates technical internships in educational and industrial sectors. IAESTE Thailand, based at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, coordinates this program, promoting opportunities for international students to intern in Thailand and invites all sectors to offer scholarships for international students who meet the program’s criteria.

 

The Faculty of Engineering, KKU, has joined in supporting these internships, offering scholarships to international students, thus enhancing the faculty’s academic activities and fostering an international atmosphere.
