On 26 February 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, was represented by Professor Wanida Karnakard, Vice Dean for Research, Innovation, and International Affairs, at the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for academic cooperation with the University of Regina, Canada.

The University of Regina delegation was led by Dr. Jeff Keshen, President and Vice-Chancellor, together with Mr. Haroon Chaudhry, Associate Vice-President (International) and Chief International Officer (UR ILO), who joined the ceremony to formalize the renewed partnership.

The ceremony was held at the JW Marriott Hotel, Bangkok as part of the Friends of Saskatchewan Networking Reception, organized by the Government of Saskatchewan. On this special occasion, Mr.Ken Cheveldayoff, Saskatchewan Minister of Advanced Education, delivered a congratulatory speech in support of the strengthened academic collaboration between the two institutions.

The Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, and the University of Regina have maintained academic cooperation since 1999. This latest signing marks the fourth MOU between the two institutions, reflecting their long-standing partnership and continued commitment to advancing research collaboration, faculty and student exchanges, and international academic networking.

This renewed agreement represents another significant milestone in enhancing the Faculty’s internationalization efforts and reinforcing its global academic engagement.
