On March 27, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phanwatt Phungsai and Dr. Tippawan Singhopon, faculty members of the Environmental Engineering Department, welcomed Prof. Futoshi Kurisu from the Research Center for Water Environment Technology, Department of Urban Engineering, The University of Tokyo, Japan, to the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, for academic activities and a campus visit. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchaphon Suntivarakorn, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, extended a warm welcome.
During his visit, Prof. Futoshi Kurisu engaged in discussions on potential academic collaboration with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phanwatt Phungsai and other faculty members of the Environmental Engineering program. Additionally, he served as the chair for the Ph.D. thesis defense of Mr. Thirawit Prasert and delivered a lecture on “Prioritizing Emerging Contaminants in the Water Environment by Target and Non-target Screening Analysis” on March 27-28, 2025. This visit was supported by the 23rd batch of the Royal Golden Jubilee Ph.D. Scholarship (RGJ-Ph.D.) program.
