Inspiring Future Engineers: KKU Faculty Hosts Career Guidance Workshop
The Faculty of Engineering at Khon Kaen University welcomed 97 enthusiastic high school students from Phu Wiang Wittayakom School on October 25, 2019, for an inspiring day of career exploration and academic guidance.
Morning Session: Charting Professional Pathways
The event kicked off at 10:30 AM in Seminar Room 1 on the 9th floor of Pienvijit Building, where students gathered for an engaging special lecture titled "Pathways to Professional Engineering Career: Today and Future." The session was led by two distinguished faculty members:
Associate Professor Methi Boonpichetvong from the Civil Engineering Department
Assistant Professor Chanoknan Sukkamnerd from the Mechanical Engineering Department
Afternoon Session: Hands-On Laboratory Experience
The afternoon featured an exciting hands-on component where students explored state-of-the-art facilities based on their engineering interests:
Group 1 discovered the world of manufacturing and automation through visits to: Mechanical Engineering Laboratory and Industrial Engineering Laboratory.
Group 2 explored infrastructure and sustainability through visits to: Civil Engineering Laboratory and Environmental Engineering Laboratory.
This comprehensive academic guidance program successfully provided students with valuable insights into engineering career opportunities and higher education pathways at KKU's Faculty of Engineering.
