Mechanical Engineering ENKKU Hosts Research Seminar and Seagate Study Tour

The Department of Mechanical Engineering recently hosted its 2026 Research Experience Enhancement Seminar and Study Tour in Nakhon Ratchasima Province from May 20 to 22, 2026, empowering graduate students to scale their research capabilities to international standards.

The three-day program delivered high-impact experiences across two pillars:

🎯 1. International Research Excellence Workshop

  • In-depth sessions focused on advanced techniques for writing and publishing research and academic articles in international journals.
  • Research proposal review sessions, where expert faculty members provided close guidance and constructive feedback to align student projects with practical industrial applications.

🎯 Seagate Thailand Site Visit: The faculty members and graduate students conducted an on-site study visit at Seagate Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Nakhon Ratchasima Campus), a global leader in data storage solutions. The visit featured:

  • A special lecture on future technological trajectories for high-capacity hard disk drives, highlighting advancements toward 30TB to 50TB storage capacities.
  • A guided tour of the actual manufacturing lines, offering firsthand exposure to world-class automation systems and production processes.
  • An interactive knowledge-sharing session with corporate engineers regarding the direct application of mechanical engineering principles within large-scale manufacturing environments.

✅ This project successfully enhanced the comprehensive skill sets of the participating students while strengthening the collaborative network between the academic institution and the industrial sector, fostering future technological innovation for the nation.
