4. Admission Requirements

(1) Applicants must comply with the Khon Kaen University Regulations on Graduate Education B.E. 2559 (2016), Section 5, Item 21.2, or any subsequent updated regulations.

(2) For Plan A Type A1 (Research only): Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree with Second Class Honors or higher in Mechanical Engineering from a program accredited by the Council of Engineers (COE). Final admission is subject to the approval of the Program Administrative Committee.

(3) For Plan A Type A2 (Coursework & Research): Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Energy Engineering, or other equivalent engineering disciplines. Candidates in their final semester of the aforementioned undergraduate programs are also eligible to apply.

(4) Applicants who do not meet the specific requirements in (2) or (3) may be admitted at the discretion of the Program Administrative Committee.

Plan B (Independent Study): Applicants must hold a degree in Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.), Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education (B.S.Ind.Ed.), Bachelor of Industrial Technology (B.Ind.Tech.), or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in a related field. (1) Applicants must comply with the Ministry of Education's Graduate Studies Standard Criteria B.E. 2558 and Khon Kaen University Regulations on Graduate Education B.E. 2559, Section 5, Item 21.2, or any subsequent updated regulations.

(2) Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, or other related fields, subject to the approval of the Program Administrative Committee.

(3) Specifically, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering, or a degree in Health Sciences, Science, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, or related disciplines. Candidates in their final semester of these programs are also eligible. Work experience is required for Plan A Type A1 candidates. Applicants who do not meet the criteria in (1), (2), or (3) may be admitted at the discretion of the Program Administrative Committee.

·        Plan A Type A2 (Coursework & Research)
