EGAT and Faculty of Engineering, KKU Partner to Advance Carbon Capture Technology in Thailand

Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University (ENKKU) partnered with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) to conduct a practical training program on “Carbon Capture Technology” on March 14, 2023. This program was part of the academic cooperation project between EGAT and ENKKU. The event was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ratchaphon Suntivarakorn, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.

The program’s guest speaker was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kitirote Wantala, from the Department of Chemical Engineering. The speaker shared his expertise and experience in carbon capture and storage technology with more than 30 participants from Nam Pong Power Plant, East-Northern Hydroelectric Power Plant, and the East-Northern Operating Department.

This program showcased ENKKU’s commitment to producing highly skilled professionals in the field of engineering, as well as its dedication to working with industry partners to address real-world challenges.
