Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University and Infineon Technologies Explore Collaborative Opportunities

On November 20, 2023 – The Faculty of Engineering at Khon Kaen University (KKU) is excited to announce a fruitful collaboration with Infineon Technologies Asia Pac. Led by Senior Manager, Partnership and Ecosystem Management, Mr. Kwa Siong Tuay, and Account and Business Development Manager, Mr. Kittikorn Wiratworapong, the delegation engaged in a detailed discussion aimed at fostering collaborations and exploring synergies between academia and industry.

UVOLT at KKU: A Courtesy Visit

Before the formal meeting at the Faculty of Engineering, KKU, the Infineon delegation, accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nonglak Meethong, embarked on a courtesy visit to UVOLT at KKU. This strategic visit was designed to meticulously explore possibilities for collaboration and lay the groundwork for potential cooperative ventures. Of particular focus was the discussion surrounding the Battery Management System (BMS) for Sodium Ion Batteries, a cutting-edge area of research and development.

Faculty of Engineering Meeting: Exploring Opportunities

Following the UVOLT visit, the delegation was warmly received at the Faculty of Engineering, KKU. The meeting was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chiranut Sa-ngiamsak, Vice Dean for Research, Innovation and International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Panupong Wanjantuk, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pramin Artrit, Program Chair of Electronic Systems Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Krit Choeisai, Department of Electrical Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Chaiyaput Kruehong, Department of Chemical Engineering, and Dr. Panawit Hanpinitsak, Department of Computer Engineering.

Key Highlights of the Meeting:

  1. BMS Development with Sodium Ion Battery: The discussion centered around embedded development in Battery Management Systems (BMS) for Sodium Ion batteries.
  2. Smart Farming Initiatives: Exploration of embedded technologies, sensors, wireless (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi), and IoT applications in the context of Smart Farming.
  3. Agri Vehicle Technology: Delving into advancements and possibilities in Agricultural Vehicle technology.
