  1. In accordance with the announcement of the Ministry of Education regarding the standard criteria for graduate programs, B.E. 2565 (2022).
  2.  In accordance with the regulations of Khon Kaen University on graduate studies B.E. 2566 (2023), Chapter 4, Article 21, and the announcement of the Graduate School of Khon Kaen University (No. 131/2566) regarding the criteria for admitting individuals to graduate programs, with additional details as follows:

Type 1.1 

  1. The applicant must have completed a master’s degree Engineering, Science, Industrial Education, Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, approved by the program committee, and must have a cumulative GPA of at least “very good” or have at least 1 year of work experience. 
  2. The applicant must have an English proficiency test score that meets the criteria set by the Commission on Higher Education. 
  3. If the applicant does not meet the criteria in items (1) and (2), the decision will be at the discretion of the program committee.

Type 1.2 

  1. The applicant must have completed a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Industrial Education, Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, approved by the program committee, and must have a cumulative GPA of at least “very good” or have at least 3 years of work experience. 
  2. The applicant must have an English proficiency test score that meets the criteria set by the Commission on Higher Education. 
  3. If the applicant does not meet the criteria in items (1) and (2), the decision will be at the discretion of the program committee.

Type 2.1 

  1. The applicant must have completed a master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Industrial Education, Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, approved by the program committee. 
  2. The applicant must have an English proficiency test score that meets the criteria set by the Commission on Higher Education. 
  3. If the applicant does not meet the criteria in items (1) and (2), the decision will be at the discretion of the program committee.

Type 2.2 

  1. The applicant must have completed a bachelor’s degree with honors in Engineering, Science, Industrial Education, Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, approved by the program management committee. 
  2. The applicant must have an English proficiency test score that meets the criteria set by the Commission on Higher Education. 
  3. If the applicant does not meet the criteria in items (1) and (2), the decision will be at the discretion of the program management committee.

For Plan 1.1 and Plan 1.2:

  1. Students must publish work derived from their dissertation, or as part of their dissertation. The article must have been published or at least accepted for publication in at least two international academic journals. The international journals must meet the criteria set by the Higher Education Standards Committee, or
  2. Students must publish work derived from their dissertation, or as part of their dissertation. The article must have been published or at least accepted for publication in at least one international academic journal that meets the criteria set by the Higher Education Standards Committee, and produce one innovative/creative work according to Khon Kaen University regulations, and
  3. Prepare a dissertation work poster in the format specified by the Faculty of Engineering.

For Plan 2.1 and Plan 2.2:

  1. Students must publish work derived from their dissertation, or as part of their dissertation. The article must have been published or at least accepted for publication in at least one international academic journal. The international journal must meet the criteria set by the Higher Education Standards Committee, or
  2. Students must produce one innovative/creative work according to Khon Kaen University regulations, and
  3. Prepare a dissertation work poster in the format specified by the Faculty of Engineering.

  • Award for publishing research work

Master students who have research papers or parts of research papers that have been published or accepted for publication in international journals indexed in the SCIE database, with at least 1 article, and the work must have been accepted before the end of the student’s program. The student must be the first author. If the article is in the 1st or 2nd quartile, the student will receive a prize of 20,000 Baht. If the article is in the 3rd or 4th quartile, the student will receive a prize of 10,000 Baht.
