Financial Innovation Engineering

  1. In accordance with the announcement of the Ministry of Education regarding the standard criteria for graduate programs, B.E. 2565 (2022).
  2.  In accordance with the regulations of Khon Kaen University on graduate studies B.E. 2566 (2023), Chapter 4, Article 21, and the announcement of the Graduate School of Khon Kaen University (No. 131/2566) regarding the criteria for admitting individuals to graduate programs, with additional details as follows:

Plan 1 Academic Track (Type A1)

  1. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Technology, or Computer Science from an institution accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC), with a minimum GPA of more than 3.00.
  2. If the applicant does not meet the qualification specified in (1), consideration will be at the discretion of the Program Administrative Committee.

 

Plan 1 Academic Track (Type A2) and Plan 2 Professional Track

  1. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Technology, or Computer Science from an institution accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC).
  2. If the applicant does not meet the qualification specified in (1), consideration will be at the discretion of the Program Administrative Committee.
    1. In accordance with the Announcement of the Higher Education Standards Committee on Graduate Program Standards, B.E. 2565 (2022)
    2. In accordance with Khon Kaen University Regulations on Graduate Studies, B.E. 2566 (2023), Chapter 10, Article 56, or as may be amended in the future
    3. Students must publish their thesis work or part of their thesis work as follows:

    Plan 1 Academic Track Type A1

    • Students must submit a thesis and pass the final oral examination. The oral exam must be conducted by a thesis examination committee appointed by the university, which complies with the composition specified in Article 50.2.1. The examination is open to the public. The thesis or part of it must be published or at least accepted for publication in a high-quality national or international journal, or be an innovation, invention, or other academic work that is searchable as defined by the University Council. In addition, the following conditions must be met:
    1. The student must have at least one article published or accepted for publication in a national journal listed in the TCI database or an international journal; or
    2. The student must have at least one innovation, invention, or other academic work that is searchable and recognized by the University Council; and
    3. The student must create a promotional poster to disseminate their academic work in the format specified by their academic program in order to be eligible for graduation.

    Plan 1 Academic Track Type A2

    Students must complete all coursework as specified in the curriculum and achieve a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or equivalent. Students must also submit a thesis and pass the final oral examination, which is to be conducted by a thesis examination committee appointed by the university. The committee must be composed in accordance with Article 50.2.1. The oral examination must be open to the public. The thesis or part of the thesis must be published, or at least accepted for publication, in a high-quality national or international journal; or presented at a recognized academic conference with published proceedings; or must be an innovation, invention, or other scholarly work that is publicly accessible as specified by the University Council.

    In addition, students must fulfill the following requirements:

    1. Have at least one article published or accepted for publication in a national academic journal listed in the TCI database or an international journal; or
    2. Have at least one article based on the thesis presented at an academic conference with standard published proceedings; or
    3. Have at least one piece of innovation, invention, or other academic work that is publicly accessible as specified by the University Council; and
    4. The student must create a promotional poster to disseminate their academic work in the format specified by their academic program in order to be eligible for graduation.

    Plan 2 Professional Track

    Students must complete all coursework as specified in the curriculum and achieve a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or equivalent. Students must also pass the Comprehensive Examination, which may be written and/or oral, in their field of study. 

    In addition, students must submit an Independent Study Report and pass the final oral examination, which must be conducted by a committee appointed by the university in accordance with the announcement of the Graduate School. The oral examination must be open to the public.

    The independent study report must be published or at least accepted for publication in a journal, or presented at an academic conference that is searchable, as recognized by the University Council. Furthermore, students must meet the following additional requirements:

    1. Have at least one article published or accepted for publication in a national academic journal listed in the TCI database or in an international journal; or
    2. Have at least one research article presented at an academic conference with published proceedings; or
    3. Have at least one piece of innovation, invention, or other academic work that is publicly accessible as specified by the University Council; or
    4. Have at least one research article presented at an academic conference with verifiable evidence of presentation; and
    5. The student must create a promotional poster to disseminate their academic work in the format specified by their academic program in order to be eligible for graduation.

  • Award for publishing research work

Master students who have research papers or parts of research papers that have been published or accepted for publication in international journals indexed in the SCIE database, with at least 1 article, and the work must have been accepted before the end of the student’s program. The student must be the first author. If the article is in the 1st or 2nd quartile, the student will receive a prize of 20,000 Baht. If the article is in the 3rd or 4th quartile, the student will receive a prize of 10,000 Baht.
